April, 11. The briefing titled “Forecasting the Venezuelan Election: New Technologies in Social Media Research” took place in VCIOM.
The participants of the meeting were as follows:
- Valery Fedorov, VCIOM`s General Director;
- Kirill Rodin, Executive Director of Public Opinion Research Service;
- Khachatur Arushanov, PalitrumLab`s Executive Partner.
The experts reported on how to forecast the outcome of the elections studying the social media users and discussed the study cases of the previous 100% electoral hits using the new method (for ex., presidential elections in France). They also presented the outcome of the upcoming Venezuelan elections and discussed the possibilities to use this method in Russian election campaigns.
